Instructions
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (205°C) for 5 minutes.
- In a small bowl, combine salt, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, cayenne (if using), and baking powder. Stir well.
- Pat the chicken thighs dry with paper towels. Drizzle with olive oil and rub the spice mix all over the chicken, coating under some of the skin.
- Place the chicken thighs skin-side down in the air fryer basket in a single layer, ensuring no overlapping.
- Air fry at 400°F (205°C) for 9 minutes.
- Flip the chicken thighs so they are skin-side up. Cook for an additional 7–9 minutes, or until the skin is deep golden brown and the thickest part of the thigh reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
- Let the chicken thighs rest for 5 minutes before serving to retain juices. Squeeze lemon over the top if desired.
