Description

A classic and easy Bisquick Peach Cobbler featuring juicy peaches and a golden, biscuit-like topping. Perfect for a quick dessert any time of year.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup Bisquick baking mix
  • 1 cup granulated sugar, divided
  • 1 cup milk
  • 4 cups sliced fresh or canned peaches, drained
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Pour melted butter into the bottom of a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together Bisquick baking mix, 1/2 cup sugar, milk, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt until smooth.
  3. Pour the batter evenly over the melted butter in the baking dish. Do not stir.
  4. In a separate bowl, toss sliced peaches with the remaining 1/2 cup sugar and ground cinnamon.
  5. Spoon the peach mixture evenly over the batter. Do not mix.
  6. Bake for 40 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the cobbler is set. Serve warm, optionally with vanilla ice cream.

Notes

  • For best results, use ripe, in-season peaches when available.
  • Let the cobbler rest for at least 15 minutes after baking for easier scooping and richer flavor.
  • If using canned peaches, choose ones packed in juice rather than syrup and drain well.
  • Substitute half the peaches with fresh or frozen berries for a Mixed Berry Cobbler.
  • Replace peaches with thinly sliced apples and add 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg for an Apple Cobbler.
  • Use Bisquick Gluten-Free Baking Mix with the same measurements for a Gluten-Free Cobbler.
  • Do not stir the batter and fruit together for the ultimate cobbler texture.
  • Sprinkle coarse sugar or cinnamon sugar on top before baking for a crunchy, golden finish.
  • Use half-and-half instead of milk in the batter for extra richness.
