  • 2 lbs ground beef
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped fresh parsley
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 small yellow onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp dried basil
  • 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 2 (24 oz) jars marinara sauce

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, eggs, milk, Parmesan cheese, parsley, garlic, onion, salt, black pepper, oregano, basil, and red pepper flakes (if using). Mix gently until just incorporated.
  2. Form the mixture into 1.5-inch meatballs.
  3. Pour 1 cup of marinara sauce into the bottom of a 6-quart slow cooker.
  4. Arrange the meatballs in a single layer over the sauce.
  5. Pour the remaining marinara sauce evenly over the meatballs.
  6. Cover and cook on LOW for 4–5 hours, or until meatballs are cooked through and tender.
  7. Gently stir to coat all meatballs with sauce. Serve hot.

  • For richer flavor, you can sear the meatballs before placing them in the slow cooker.
