  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Cook lasagna noodles according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, cook ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat, then stir in marinara sauce. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  3. In a medium bowl, combine ricotta cheese, egg, parsley, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.
  4. Spread a thin layer of meat sauce in the bottom of a 9×13-inch baking dish. Layer 3 noodles over the sauce, then spread with half of the ricotta mixture, a third of the mozzarella, and a third of the remaining meat sauce. Repeat layers, finishing with noodles, sauce, and remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese on top.
  5. Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until cheese is bubbly and golden.
  6. Let lasagna rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
