Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ¾ cups white wheat flour
  • 3 eggs
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon white sugar (optional)
  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted (or vegetable oil of your choice)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the flour, eggs, salt, vanilla extract (if used), melted butter, and sugar (if used).
  2. Gradually add the milk while whisking or using an electric mixer until a smooth batter forms with no lumps.
  3. Heat a non-stick crêpe pan over medium-high heat and lightly grease it with butter or oil.
  4. Pour or scoop about ¼ cup of batter onto the hot pan.
  5. Tilt and rotate the pan quickly to spread the batter as thinly as possible into a French crepe.
  6. Cook for 1-2 minutes on each side until lightly browned.
  7. Repeat with the remaining batter to make more French crepes.
  8. Serve your French crepes hot with your favorite fillings.
