  • Yield: 8 pop-tarts 1x
  • Diet: Vegetarian

Description

Create delicious homemade S’mores Pop-Tarts with flaky pie crust, chocolate spread, and marshmallow fluff. These treats are a fun twist on a childhood favorite, perfect for breakfast or a sweet snack. Enjoy the classic s’mores flavor without needing a campfire.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 rolls refrigerated rolled pie crust
  • 12 cups chocolate spread or Nutella
  • 12 cups marshmallow fluff
  • 4 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 4 tablespoons hot water
  • 1/2 cup crushed graham crackers (optional for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (204°C).
  2. Roll out each pie dough sheet into a large rectangle, then slice into 16 even rectangles.
  3. Fill one rectangle with marshmallow fluff and another with chocolate spread, piping alternating stripes.
  4. Wet the border of one rectangle and place another dough rectangle on top.
  5. Crimp and seal the edges with a fork.
  6. Bake at 400°F for 10 minutes.
  7. Remove from oven and cool on a wire rack.
  8. Mix melted butter and cocoa powder, then stir in powdered sugar and hot water until smooth for the glaze.
  9. Spoon glaze onto cooled pop-tarts and spread gently.
  10. Sprinkle crushed graham crackers over the glaze while it’s still wet.
  11. Allow glaze to harden before serving.

Notes

  • Do not overbake the pop-tarts, as the filling may disappear.
  • Cool the pop-tarts completely before glazing.
  • Homemade S’mores Pop-Tarts are best reheated in the oven or microwave, not a toaster.
  • Consider making your own pie crust for an even more authentic homemade taste.
  • Experiment with different chocolate spreads or add-ins like chocolate chips for variations.
