- 1/4 cup unsalted butter
- 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- In a saucepan, combine water, butter, sugar, and salt. Heat over medium heat until butter is melted and mixture is simmering.
- Remove from heat and stir in flour until a smooth dough forms. Return to low heat and cook for 1-2 minutes, stirring constantly, until dough forms a ball.
- Transfer dough to a mixing bowl. Beat in eggs one at a time until fully incorporated. Stir in vanilla extract.
- Transfer dough to a piping bag fitted with a large star tip. Pipe 3-4 inch strips of dough into the air fryer basket, ensuring they do not touch. Work in batches.
- Air fry for 10-12 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
- While churros are cooking, combine 1/2 cup sugar and cinnamon in a shallow dish.
- Once cooked, immediately toss the hot churros in the cinnamon sugar mixture until well coated.
- Serve your sweet air fryer churros immediately.
